Minor A/AA/Majors

Minor A/AA/Majors

Ages 9-12 (Grades 3-6): Age groups are combined and players are drafted by ability based on a player evaluation.  Majors is a competitive league where full baseball rules apply, including leadoffs, stealing and dropped third strikes.  Minor AA is a competitive league where stealing is allowed after the ball crosses the plate.  Minor A is a recreational league where leadoffs and stealing are not allowed and is for players who might not have the same opportunity to pitch, catch, or play the infield as they would in the Majors or Minor AA Leagues.  Kids pitch all 6 innings and umpires are utilized for the first time. Playoffs at the end of the season determine a league champion. Teams will consist of players from multiple schools. Post-season travel play is introduced as we invite players to tryout for a travel team that competes against other local travel teams in competitive tournaments.

  • Teams are mixed up with players from multiple schools.
  • 14 game season (2 games per week) plus 2 preseason games.
  • Single elimination post season tournament
  • Games played at Village Green.
